The Real Revolution in Online Education Isn’t MOOCs

Harvard Business Review (HBR) recently wrote about how the new wave in higher education is competency-based education like Personalized Learning, not MOOCs.


"A small but growing number of educational institutions such as Northern Arizona University are implementing online competency-based programs. Although many are still in nascent stages today, it is becoming clear that online competencies have the potential to create high-quality learning pathways that are affordable, scalable, and tailored to a wide variety of industries. It is likely they will only gain traction and proliferate over time."
